OUR HISTORY
A Family Story Rooted in Galápagos
Our family's story on Santa Cruz Island began with two very different journeys meeting in one place — our mother, who came from France, and our father, who came from Loja, Ecuador. When they arrived, the island had little infrastructure, and life looked nothing like it does for the visitors who come today.
They built their life here as Santa Cruz grew around them — forming a connection to this island, its people, and its way of life that runs deeper than anything you'll find in a guidebook. That connection continues today through Capitán Max, where we welcome travelers who've come to discover the same islands that raised us.
