"Very nice place! Only 6 rooms but they are all nice. Very close to the boat docks and quiet off on a side street. Nice breakfast and bananas whenever you felt like one. Max and Julio were just super nice people! Just remember when you go to Santa Cruz Island almost all places do not take credit cards. Bring cash! "
We had a wonderful stay at Capitan Max B&B After arriving from San Isabella Island around 10 am, Max graciously accommodated us with breakfast, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture.
A special shoutout to Max's son, Max Junior, who was exceptionally helpful! He assisted us in booking tours to the Lava Tunnels, and other places, which made exploring the area so much easier and enjoyable.
Overall, Capitan Max B&B felt like a home away from home. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Galápagos Islands!

Our family has been part of the story of Santa Cruz Island since its early days. When our parents arrived, the island had very little infrastructure and life was very different from what visitors see today.
They built their life here as Santa Cruz grew, creating a deep connection with the island, its people and its unique way of life.
Today, that connection continues through Capitán Max, where we welcome travelers who come to discover the Galápagos.

With decades of experience in tourism and navigation, Max brings a unique perspective to the Galápagos experience.
His professional career has taken him beyond the shore, managing and operating high-end vessels serving travelers exploring the islands by sea.
This experience gives him an insider's understanding of Galápagos navigation, destinations and the different ways to experience the islands.
