WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Marble Surface

Loved our stay here

Great room, a lot of personality, good décor. AC, shower, and wifi all worked well. Family very welcoming and helpful and spoke very fluent English. Location great. Breakfast was excellent. Family took care of getting us ferry tickets, laundry, etc. -- really helpful. Would stay again.

Great location

The location is fantastic, on a quiet street but close to the center. The kioskos are just 2 minutes walk away. This is a road full of open air restaurants that serve great seafood at very reasonable prices at night. Everything else you need is also within walking distance.
Hosts are very helpful and friendly, they helped us organize everything from transport to/from the airport, excellent day trips to other islands, restaurant recommendations, and even laundry.
Breakfast was basic but sufficient. Rooms are spacious and clean. There are coffee, tea, water dispenser and TV in the common area.
The only negative I could think of is the intermittent wifi and the fact that the air conditioning temperature in our room cannot be controlled

Can't recommend highly enough!

Clean, comfortable, fantastic service. Location is ideal, a 60sec walk to Charles Binford Street and the main drag, maybe 5min to the ferry/dock area. Quiet and safe/secure. Pedro made us feel welcome the moment we arrived, and was incredibly helpful from cooking (great) breakfast to arranging laundry service, recommending things to do/eat, and making sure the coffee stayed on all day. Rooms are comfortable and very well appointed (there was even a hammock in ours!). WiFi is great (for the Galapagos, keep in mind it's, well, the Galapagos). We really appreciated Pedro's fantastic service and hospitality, can't recommend highly enough!

Great location and host

The B&B is located almost at the main street, but as it is 50 meters away the traffic does not disturb.
The best thing is this place is the host who can English and is able to arrange you trips or to give advise whenever you need it.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, but this is a B&B, so do not expect any hotel type of accommodation and then you will enjoy this like a home. The breakfast offers you some basic stuff, but it does not give that wide selection. Anyway you can get eggs as like, some fruits, bread and coffee or tea etc.
I also recommend that you choose the transportation from the ferry to hotel. It costs a little bit more than a taxi from the ferry port, but it is ready there and knows where to bring you.

Absolutely I would choose again Capt Max, if I were coming back.

Beyond expectations

This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in South America.

Little touches throughout the room (electrical outlets near the bed, towel hooks, hand towels, hairdryer!) clearly showed that a lot of thought had gone into designing the room around the guests' comfort. The room and ensuite bathroom is very clean and they also provide water in the bathroom for brushing your teeth. Housekeeping comes by everyday and you can choose whether you want to change the sheets+towels etc or not, by placing a little card on the bed.
The entire hostal is decorated around a nautical theme, and all the tiny details and decorative objects (those napkin holders!) contributed to the quaint and comfortable feel of the property.
We arrived early from Isabela and were surprisingly allowed to check in immediately. The gentleman who greeted us, Pedro(?) was very available to answer any questions we might have, and always ready to help. When we were left stranded after our tour agency 'forgot' to notify us our tour was cancelled (or forgot to pick us up, we will never know the truth will we? thanks a lot, academy bay), he helped us call and check what was going on, as well as give us advice on what to do.
Breakfast every morning was a delight, with eggs, pancakes, and cereal. Hot water for teas etc is also available round the clock, as are a wide variety of teas and a coffee machine. There is a water machine for guests to refill their own bottles as well, which saves the need for you to buy water.
The hostal is located just across the street from Los Kioskos, and there is a mini supermarket just round the corner. It is about 300m from the pier. It is located almost right at the trailhead to Tortuga Beach and is just beside Laguna Las Ninfas. We could not ask for a better location and host truly.

Very nice Owner, dark room

Super nice and helpful owner. The location is great. Close to the pier and the local food street. Unfortunately our room had no windows and was right by the lobby. Good breakfast and coffee + tee all day

Gorgeous b&b

Max is incredibly friendly and welcoming and this place is perfect. It's positioned on the road out to tortuga beach which is definitely unmissable. Room was bright, fresh and clean and the service was excellent. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.
